IPIMAR Ship
Depth: 22 a 29 meters
Description:Fishing boat called Eng. António Augusto, in 1995 was unpolluted an then sunk by IPIMAR creating an artificial reef. With about 40 meters long and 7 high, is based on a sand bottom slightly heeled to starboard, and is in one piece allowing a secure penetration in several areas of the boat.
Rebocador do Farol
Depth: 3 a 6 meters
Description: Tugboat sunk to about 50 years, with 20 meters long, based on a sandy bottom, is very interesting and an easy dive for beginners.
Caldeira do Farol
Depth: 3 a 7 meters
Description: Boiler of a sunken boat at about 100 years in a sandy bottom, after being explored we can continue the dive in the east jetty of the Lighthouse bar.
Pedra do Zimbral
Depth: 14 a 17 meters
Description: Rocky reef composed by blocks that in some areas are elevated 2 meters above the sand, with 400 meters long and 20-30 meters wide, parallel to the shore.
Barra Velha
Depth: 37 a 45 meters
Description: Old cliff with around 200 meters parallel to the shore and a 8 meters gap. Is based on a bottom of very fine sediments that requires excellent control of buoyancy, it’s a place to practice technical diving, and where we can find Dendrophyllia coral just like in Pedra do Barril in Tavira.
Pedra de São Luís
Depth: 16 a 18 meters
Description: Rocky reef located in front of the St. Louis bar, with about 700 meters long is the continuation of Pedra da Greta, is developed parallel to the shore with many similarities. Here the blocks are more separated allowing the passage of divers among them.Very rich area.
Recifes Artificiais Módulos de Protecção
Depth: 19 a 21 meters
Description: IPIMAR project started in 1990, consists in three units clusters, each one consisting of a concrete open cubes set with 1.3 meters and serves for the protection of numerous species.
